01, ACAM

A lean team that runs on AI

ACAM advises large Australian enterprises on AI readiness, and it does that with a small team. Ryan joined at the start and has spent his time there building the systems that let a few people do the work of many: choosing and connecting the tools, building the platform, and putting AI into the everyday work of producing content, running programs and keeping the brand consistent. That is the same job a small business needs done, on a smaller scale.

  1. 01The stack

Set up ACAM's CRM and tech stack, chosen so that a small team could run programs, community and content without adding headcount.

  2. 02The platform

Led the end-to-end build of the AIR Hub, ACAM's community platform: evaluated providers, interviewed vendors, then owned the technical build, UX, onboarding and go-live. It hosts the AI Ready for Marketers program and bespoke programs for large enterprises.

  3. 03AI in the daily work

Put AI into the work itself: a design system in Claude Design that keeps every deck and page on brand, Roo, ACAM's AI-generated presenter, and a library of Claude skills that automate the recurring writing, content and operations work.

  4. 04Content and search

Writes FutureLab Weekly, ACAM's Monday newsletter for senior marketing leaders, runs its LinkedIn content and owns its AI-search optimisation, all produced with AI in the loop.

Awarded the University of Sydney Business School's Student Leadership for Good Award, September 2025, for leadership beyond the university.

02, The AIR Hub

The platform the team runs on

The platform

Building the AIR Hub, start to end

ACAM's community platform, taken from a blank brief to a live product: Ryan evaluated the providers, interviewed the vendors, then owned the technical build, the UX and onboarding design, and the go-live.

The AIR Hub now hosts the AI Ready for Marketers program, bespoke programs for large enterprises, ACAM's community spaces and events, and its weekly newsletter. It ships as a branded mobile app.

  • Vendor evaluation to go-live
  • Hosts AI Ready and enterprise programs
  • Community, events, newsletter
  • Branded mobile app

What Ryan has built with Claude and without a formal coding background: ACAM's design system, the automation behind his own work, and this site.

Case study

Turning brand guidelines into a design system the team actually uses

ACAM already had its colours, its type and its imagery direction. What it did not have was a system that made them easy to use. Working with Claude, Ryan turned a rough set of guidelines into a living design system: colour tokens, a type scale, badges, buttons, layout patterns and a pre-ship checklist.

It lives in Claude Design as a full design system, so it can take on complex design work, not just recolour a template, and every deck, page and social tile the team produces starts on brand. Along the way the documented guidelines grew to about three times their original size.

  • Tokens, type, components
  • Lives in Claude Design
  • Used across the team
  • Guidelines grown about 3x
